That combination is worth having when the person looking at you is hiring rather than commissioning. An art director wants the pictures. A picture editor or a head of department wants the pictures and the 6 years behind them, and most portfolio sites make them go and find that somewhere else.
The dark treatment is doing a job rather than a mood. Low-light and cinematic work loses its shadows on a white page, and this one keeps them.
If your work is bright, high-key or product photography, this is the wrong frame for it. Mara Voss or Noa Castellano will serve you better.
