This is Mara Voss with motion. The sections, the filter, the captions and the contact route are the same. What changes is how the work arrives on screen.
Motion is a real decision rather than a free upgrade. It gives a portfolio energy and makes an edit feel considered. It also adds a moment between a picture editor clicking and seeing your photograph, and some of them will not wait.
Our honest advice is to open both demos side by side and choose on how the wait feels to you, not on which looks better in a still screenshot. Check it on a phone too, where animation costs the most.
Because the 2 versions share a structure, changing your mind later is starting from the other one rather than rebuilding anything.
